I really don’t know where to begin. Visiting the Panama Canal was a spiritual experience. The massive structure is awe-inspiring. In fact, my only point of reference are the pyramids of Egypt which I witnessed during my trip to Africa in 2009. The Canal is a modern marvel of engineering which truly has to been seen in order to be believed and appreciated. I had extremely high expectations for the canal…and even those expectations were blown away by the monstrosity of what I encountered. Certainly one of the top 3 highlights of my journey.
