The self-proclaimed “Salsa Capital of the World”, Cali is an eclectic locale of wonderful food, music, and culture. The streets are alive with fast-paced rhythms and the people are as welcoming as any that I’ve encountered during my 19 weeks abroad. Dance is the local pastime, and there’s no shortage of studios which promise to get you onto to the good foot with a series of lessons. In fact, I just completed my first one-hour session, the most incredible aerobic workout I’ve experienced during the entire journey. Cali is an intoxicating city which I am truly fortunate to visit.
